Research suggests that people with cerebral palsy (CP) who can do ‘vocational training’ including on-the-job training and job placement support, are more likely to be in long term employment. You may wish to explore opportunities in mainstream or supported work settings, depending on your abilities, needs and preferences. Many organisations offer employment focused programs that support transition into the workplace.Â
Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) offers support to help build the skills needed to prepare, look for and gain employment. We provide individualised capacity building activities so young people can achieve their employment goals.
