Early Childhood Intervention

We support babies and children to build stronger foundations for better learning and development

Your child is born with 100 billion neurons in their brain

At CPA, we know how to point them in the right direction.
Through our clinically backed early intervention programs, and experience leading one of the world’s largest early intervention clinical trials to improve movement and cognition¹, we support babies and children with a range of physical and neurological conditions to build stronger foundations for better learning and development. Science-backed hope. It’s just one of the reasons why parents recommend our services.

Access to the industry's leading specialists

Nine out of ten parents recommend our ECI services². When you choose ECI with CPA, you’re choosing to access the industry’s leading early childhood intervention physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, therapy and allied health assistants.

You can access a range of supports that will help point your child’s neurons in the right direction so they can learn and improve their:

  • Independent mobility
  • Play and social skills
  • Gross and fine motor skills and motor planning
  • Strength, flexibility and endurance
  • Thinking and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of words and language
  • Feeding and dressing skills
  • Balance and coordination

Flexible and convenient services

Depending on your child’s needs, you can access our programs in a range of different ways:
  • Individualised therapy – Giving children time to focus on their goals with a specialist therapist in a one-to-one setting, and in an environment that works best for the family – at home, in the community or at a CPA centre.
  • Group programs – Gives children an opportunity to work on their individual goals with the additional benefits of learning from others and developing play and social skills. Parents also get to meet other parents.
  • Intensive therapy programs – Designed around the principles of neuroplasticity, our individualised and group intensive therapy programs accelerate skill development over a short period of time, and deliver results that are long lasting.
  • Parent training – Parents are often a child’s most important teacher particularly at this young age. CPA offers parent training programs. Our therapists also provide parents with regular support and knowledge so they can continue therapy at home.
