The final years of secondary school can be a big challenge for students and their parents. Teenagers are managing schoolwork, exams and activities outside of school. They may also be thinking about other important life goals. These include friendships and relationships, skills and independence and what they want to do after school.
Your teenager may want to consider further education after school. This can include vocational education, university, life skills development and employment. Teachers, education support staff, careers advisors and family may help with your planning. They can help with entry requirements, HSC preparations and disability services and supports.
We have many programs and services for teenagers that help with choosing goals after school. These include life skills & employability training, mentoring, coaching, after school and school holiday group programs. Some people want to focus on practical skills that will help them secure future employment. Others focus on skills needed for daily activities. Others still want to work on their social skills, friendships and relationships. The focus of these programs is all about your teenager and their needs. We work with your child and their support network to establish individual, meaningful goals.
