It should be fun, encouraging exploratory and discovery.
For children ages 3-6 years old, play offers important opportunities for practising and refining their movements, learning new motor skills and developing confidence moving around their environments. Allowing children to lead their own play encourages creativity and helps children make connections with each other and their environment. They learn how to use household objects, how to move safely on different surfaces and to participate in a range of activities for fun, fitness and function.
For many children with cerebral palsy, assistive technology is an essential tool, which allows them to play with their peers and be physically active and fit.
