Jumpstart your career with this two-year program.

Support & training

When you join Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) you will have the support of a dedicated multidisciplinary Clinical Governance team of leading clinical specialists in speech pathology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and behaviour support which guide policy, learning, development and evidence-based practice.  

As a therapist at CPA you will be supported with:

  • Your own clinical educator who provides guidance in your specific discipline through clinical supervision, joint client appointments, and personalised upskilling
  • A comprehensive learning journey from orientation to ongoing development, including:
    • specialist learning opportunities
    • regular 1:1 supervision
    • small group upskilling
    • shadowing with highly experienced therapists across all disciplines
  • A personalised learning and development plan
  • Opportunities to attend external training and conferences
  • Opportunity to attend the annual CPA organised professional therapy conference
  • Support for industry gold standard certified courses
  • Defined competency-based regrade pathway for your clinical skills and career development
  • Opportunities to be involved in research and projects.

Allied health graduate program

Our two-year program will jumpstart your career in supporting people with cerebral palsy and similar conditions to achieve their goals. 

Graduates are immersed in the full scope of CPA’s services and supported by a network of highly experienced clinicians. You will also gain access to the latest gold standard research from the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Institute.

In 2023, we welcomed 23 newly graduated Allied Health students across four disciplines – exercise physiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech pathology.
