Remarkable team deliver at second USA Tech Summit

After four incredible, future focused, jam-packed days at the Remarkable Tech Summit in San Diego, USA from 2 – 6 October 2023, the Remarkable team have certainly delivered on connecting, celebrating, and growing the emerging Disability Tech ecosystem as they amplified the voices of people with disability all throughout the event.

“The Summit this year has really established itself. I was blown away by such inspiring and incredible contributors and attendees – all with global and great minds, coming together to create future-focussed solutions,” said Pete Horsley, founder of Remarkable.

“The best bit is that we have all come away with stories of impact, deeper relationships with global leaders and guiding principles to advance opening a world of opportunity for people with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities, and their families,” added Pete.

Made possible by Cerebral Palsy Alliance and Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation, the 2023 Remarkable Tech Summit’s overall theme was Liminal – exploring the space between the world as we know it and the world as it could be in disability tech and innovation. Over the 4-days, three specific sub-domains were explored – the space between Design and Innovation, between Need and Market and between Human and Environment.

The first day of the Tech Summit heard from people living on four different continents about how we can balance equitable access to technology with the incredible opportunity to grow the market.

The second day focused on how we can shift the narrative from one of charity or compliance to one of excitement, opportunity market growth and to show the way that Disability has always been a driver of many of the innovations we all use on a day-to-day basis.
