Creating pain education for children with cerebral palsy

About the study

Chronic pain is a difficult and common health issue for children and adults with cerebral palsy. Understanding pain can help children and families manage it and its effects on life, but there are no educational resources specifically dedicated to children with cerebral palsy. This project will work together with children and caregivers to create a resource that is informative and engaging, in a format that children and families want to interact with and is accessible across abilities.

Who can participate?

Children aged 5-18yrs with cerebral palsy who have ever had an experience with ongoing pain or discomfort, and their caregivers

What is involved?

Online group discussions with other children and caregivers or one on one interviews where we will talk about how children like to learn about health.

Discussions will take no longer than one hour and there is flexibility for these to be face to face if needed.

Participants will be reimbursed for their time at $55 per hour.
