In this purpose-led job you will make a difference to the lives of people with cerebral palsy and similar conditions. As a Disability Support Practitioner (DSP) with Cerebral Palsy Alliance you can work across a variety of different shifts offering flexibility and work-life balance.

Whether you’re helping a client at a Day Program, assisting with personal care, or cooking in one of our supported living accommodation homes, no day is the same. You’ll build friendships and provide support services that create positive change.

No previous experience is required. If you have a passion to make a difference, we will provide you with all the training and support you need to be  successful in your role. When you start you will have comprehensive induction training, then receive ongoing learning opportunities and informal on-the-job training.

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is a registered training organisation (RTO No. 90213) and we deliver training and assessment and issue Nationally Recognised Qualifications.

As a permanent part-time or full time DSP (working more than 16 hours a week) we can also support you to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability). Please contact us for further details.

Get qualified

Complete your CHC33021 - Certificate III in Individual Support and CHC43121 - Certificate IV in Disability Support with CPA. This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. (eligibility criteria applies).

Employment options

We have a range of permanent full-time or part-time and casual opportunities for DSPs available in:

  • Accommodation services – here you will be part of a team that provide 24/7 assistance to clients in small group home settings with a variety of shifts available.
  • Day programs – where you will assist individuals and groups of clients to participate in the community or with personalised programs. Shifts are generally 6 hours Monday to Friday between the hours of 9/9:30am to 3:30/4pm with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts within our home and community services on weekends/evenings.
