Disability Support Practitioner

It’s so important I provide the highest quality care for my clients. Cerebral Palsy Alliance supports me to do this by investing in my ongoing development.

I moved to Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) in March 2018 after ten (10) years of working in disability and home care with the NSW government.

As a Disability Support Practitioner (DSP) in our Accommodation service, I work directly with clients on a daily basis. My greatest reward is seeing positive outcomes in an individual’s life.

For me, it’s so important that I provide the highest quality care and support for my clients. CPA supports me to do this by investing in my ongoing development. I have access to fantastic training that equips me with the skills and confidence to deliver great services for our clients.

My manager and team also recognise and support me to use the knowledge and experience I have gained previously – in teaching, graphic design and recruitment.

So…where to from here?

I’ve recently taken on acting team leader role, it’s challenging but I enjoy being able to grow and learn within a supportive environment.
