New Arrangements for COVID-19

Dear CPA Clients and Families,


I wanted to touch base with you today following an announcement from the NDIS regarding pricing and increased flexibility in how you can use your funding.


We are working hard to make sure we can provide continuity of service for you, and be a support you can rely on in these very tough times.


The NDIS has recognised this pressure and advised a temporary price increase of 10% for critical supports to ensure providers are able to cover the extra costs generated by working within the COVID-19 environment.


Temporary pricing changes


These pricing changes are temporary for six months, and will come into effect at CPA as of Wednesday 8 April.


Prices will be applied to:

  • Existing service agreements, and any new agreements generated during this six month period.
  • Critical supports:
    • Assistance with Daily Life (excluding Supported Independent Living, SIL)
    • Assistance with Social and Community Participation
    • Improved Health and Well-Being (excluding personal training)
    • Improved Daily Living Skills


The NDIS has also changed the definition of short notice cancellations. At CPA, we won’t be changing our cancellation policy. However if you do need to change or cancel and appointment, we ask that you provide as much notice as possible in order to allow us to manage our virtual workforce.


Great flexibility for funding use


There is some good news around your plan, including the instant rollover of your annual plan at review time, and the ability to move funding between capacity building and core supports. This gives you greater choice about what you need and when. You can speak directly with the NDIS, your ECEI partner or your Local Area Coordinator to discuss your options, along with any new need for Support Coordination. You can read more on this at
