Hannah Irvine
Position: Occupational Therapist

Hannah joined Cerebral Palsy Alliance in 2017 because she wanted to offer her skills to people who live in a rural area. She has extended family in the Riverina and is fond of the region.

Her goal is to support clients to improve their daily living skills because she loves seeing the positive impact this has on their quality of life.

One of the highlights so far for Hannah has been assisting a client with muscular dystrophy and his family. This youngster’s parents had to lift him in and out of the car, which was a challenge, made worse by the fact that one of them has a back injury.

Hannah supported the client and his family to get funding for a car hoist, which enabled them to transfer him safely. The ease of the hoist has also meant the family is getting out and about more and increasing their involvement with the community.
