Tegan Davies

Tegan Davies
Position: Occupational Therapist

Having joined Cerebral Palsy Alliance in 2015, Tegan has found there are two important aspects of her work that she loves. Firstly, she loves supporting clients to achieve their goals so they can do the things they want to do in life.

Tegan does this across the different environments in which clients live such as at home, in pre-school and school, and within the community. Her aim is to always help each client reach their full potential, and she takes great delight in seeing their satisfaction when they learn new skills and increase in confidence.

The second reason centres on her colleagues. Tegan loves working with people who also want to improve the lives of people with disabilities in their community. For Tegan and one of her colleagues this extends beyond the Central Coast of NSW.

Some time ago Tegan spent two years in Ghana, West Africa, working as an occupational therapist with children and adults with disabilities at a rehabilitation centre. Since she returned to Australia, Tegan and her CPA colleague Therese Everton, a physiotherapist, have regularly travelled to Ghana to support the training of occupational therapists and physiotherapists across Ghana. They also organise pre-loved specialised paediatric disability equipment to be shipped to Ghana each year.
