There is always a new challenge to tackle and a new opportunity to learn. For Russell, that variety is what makes the role rewarding and keeps him engaged as a professional. What stands out most to him, however, is CPA’s people and purpose. “The thing that matters most here is the client.”
Working alongside dedicated, down-to-earth colleagues, Russell sees firsthand how his work contributes to positive outcomes for the people CPA supports. He explains: “I see the impact that I’m making on people’s lives. You really are empowered to help the client in so many ways.”
That sense of purpose is reinforced by CPA’s strong culture of collaboration. Russell values being part of an organisation where teams work together across many different areas, from facilities and administration to marketing, legal and training, all with a shared goal of supporting clients. “There’s a very strong culture of cooperation.”
Being part of that team environment has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of his journey. He has also been impressed by the number of employees who have built long careers at CPA, saying that he has “met people that have been here for 25 to 30 years.” For Russell, that longevity speaks volumes about the organisation’s culture, values, and commitment to its people.
His message to anyone considering a career at CPA is simple: “If you want to make a difference, you’d be amazed at the opportunity that there is here at CPA and how that can fit in with your skill set and values.”
For Russell, CPA is a place where every day brings new opportunities to collaborate, grow, and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
This is the magic that happens when great minds think differently.
