New world-class disability therapy centre opens in Roselands

The new $5.7 million centre will provide more than 700 children and adults with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities in south-Western Sydney with innovative therapies, programs and services.
Minister Dib said the significant $2.9 million investment in the new centre by the NSW Government was secured by Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) under the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grant program (formerly known as ‘WestInvest’) in 2023 after the need to meet growing demand for services in the area were recognised.
With this $2.9 million investment in the new centre, the NSW Government, in partnership with Cerebral Palsy Alliance, is taking a vital step to meet the growing demand for essential services in Western Sydney. This initiative underscores our dedication to enhancing support for individuals with disabilities and their families within our community,” said Minister Dib.
Cerebral Palsy Alliance CEO, Rob White, said the investment by the NSW Government has meant they have been able to replace the former site at Penshurst which was no longer fit-for-purpose or able to support growing demand for services in the area.
“Penshurst was a small and aging therapy centre that was not fully accessible for our clients and their families,”
Mr White said.
“This new facility will enable us to deliver a wide range of evidence-based therapies, services and programs as well as access to innovative technology and equipment to improve and enhance the lives of people with disability of all ages and their families.”
The new site at Roselands, secured by CPA in 2021, includes;
  • an internal fit-out to accommodate 9 client therapy rooms
  • flexible spaces for equipment trials and group programs such as intensives, which have proven long-term outcomes for children;
  • accessible bathrooms/change rooms and ceiling hoists for safe client transfers
  • reception, meeting and break spaces, and offices.
