This exciting initiative, developed by and for young people with CP, starts on 23 September 2024, after a successful pilot program last year.
The CPActive Young Changemakers program is a 12-week online course designed for young adults aged 18-30 with CP. Participants learn through interactive and accessible learning modules, focussing on building essential leadership, advocacy, and community connection skills.
The program is hosted by disability rights campaigner and CPActive Champion, Elly Desmarchelier and with involvement from Hannah Diviney, and has already resulted in significant positive outcomes:

Program details
Start date: Monday, September 23rd, 2024 (contact us to submit a late application)
End date: Friday, 6 December 2024
Format: Online, with self-paced modules and a 90-minute Zoom masterclass every fortnight
Eligibility: Participants must be aged 18-30, have an email address, and access to a laptop, PC, or tablet with internet connectivity
Cost: The program is fully funded and free for all participants
Throughout the program, participants will delve into five key modules covering leadership, advocacy, and community-building, with content delivered through videos, podcasts, and live discussions.
The program aims to create a supportive network for young people with CP across Australia, offering opportunities to become a CPActive Champion, corporate speaker, campaigner, and more.
