Father getting his daughter ready in her wheelchair to go outside

Research study: CP Movetime

About the study

The CP Movetime project aims to create a wearable device and app that will help children with CP who are wheelchair users to move more and improve their health. The technology will use smart sensors to track movement and posture, providing real-time feedback to children, parents, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Who can participate?

  • People with cerebral palsy (GMFCS IV or V) who are between 5-17 years of age.
  • Living in NSW

What is involved?

Working with a clinician weekly (in person or via tele-health), participants will set and review movement goals, in order to reduce sedentary behaviour. Participants will need access to a smartphone to utilise the CP Movetime app. Training will be provided. Parents of participants will be asked to answer online questionnaires weekly.
