Among these 16 inspiring individuals were five extraordinary VILPs who are current clients of CPA Sports: Hanisi G, Annabelle J, Charlotte G, Maximos P, and Ryley L. These remarkable young athletes regularly attend the Sports Program at CPA and receive its wonderful benefits. Their participation in the Krazy Kosci Klimb is a testament to the power of sport and community support in empowering individuals to achieve their dreams.
The Krazy Kosci Klimb, an annual event that celebrates inclusivity and determination, sees participants from all walks of life come together to conquer the highest peak in Australia —Mount Kosciuszko. For these VILPs, the climb was not just a physical challenge but a celebration of their strength, spirit, and the unwavering support they receive from their families and sponsors.
For many of these VILPs, the Sports Program at CPA has been a critical part of their development. Over the years, they have grown not only in their physical abilities but also in their self-esteem, sports skills, teamwork, and sense of belonging. CPA Sports provides a unique environment where children and young adults with disabilities are given the tools, resources, and opportunities to thrive in a way that is tailored to their individual needs.
For VILPs like Hanisi, Annabelle, Charlotte, Maximos, and Ryley, we hope that the skills and confidence gained through their involvement with CPA Sports, played an instrumental role in helping them reach the summit of Mount Kosciuszko. We send a big congratulations to each of them, and all the participants for completing this monumental milestone in their lives.
The Krazy Kosci Klimb is a powerful reminder that, with the right support, individuals with disabilities can break through barriers and accomplish incredible feats. Each of the VILPs who participated in the climb, along with their incredible families and sponsors, is a living testament to the transformative power of community, sport, and perseverance.
As they stand at the top of Mount Kosciuszko, the summit of one of Australia’s most iconic peaks, they are not just celebrating a physical achievement. They are celebrating a journey of courage, hope, and the knowledge that they can conquer any challenge life may throw their way. This leads to: “what is next?” and “what else can I achieve?!”
We are so proud of all 16 VILPs who took part in this historic climb, especially our five CPA Sports clients, who continue to inspire us all. The future is bright, and with the ongoing support of their families, support networks, and the CPA Sports community, there are no limits to what they can achieve. Together, we can conquer anything — Kosci and beyond.
