The Sir Roden Cutler Awards, presented by the Primary Club of Australia, celebrate high-achieving athletes with disability who have excelled in sport and made a positive impact by inspiring and supporting others.
And Tamsin is a very deserving recipient.
A multi-sport athlete across athletics, cross country and parafootball, Tamsin has represented Australia at the Paralympic Games, competed internationally with the ParaMatildas, and continues to achieve at the highest levels of her sports. In 2025, she broke world records in the T36 800m and 1500m, and in 2026 she won gold in the 800m at the Australian Athletics National Championships.
But what makes Tamsin’s achievements particularly extraordinary is that her impact extends well beyond the sporting field.
Tamsin has consistently used her experiences as a person with cerebral palsy to create opportunities for others. She has organised inclusive sporting programs, advocated for greater opportunities and fairer recognition for para-athletes, supported people with disability through her work with CPSARA, and spoken publicly about the need for systemic change as part of CPActive.
As an active member of our CPActive Champions and the Changemakers working group, Tamsin brings her lived experience to the table to help shape our initiatives and strengthen advocacy for people with disabilities. She is helping demonstrate what happens when people with lived experience are given genuine opportunities to influence the systems, programs, and communities around them.
We are incredibly proud to see one of our CPActive Champions recognised for her great personal achievements as well as the opportunities she is helping create for others. Tamsin’s passion for change is a model for others, and we are proud to have Tamsin as part of the CPActive community.
