Targeted intervention for your baby’s leg movement

Researchers from Cerebral Palsy Alliance, The University of Sydney and The Little Physio are exploring the use of constraint applied to the affected lower limb in children with cerebral palsy.

This study will investigate the use of constraint induced movement therapy in the lower limbs of infants 10-18 months of age with unilateral cerebral palsy, compared to usual care.

Who can participate?

Families with an infant or toddler between 10-18 months of age with a diagnosis of or at ‘high risk of’ unilateral cerebral palsy/hemiplegia, who live in Sydney or the Illawarra region.

What is involved?

Intervention includes 12 home visit physiotherapy sessions and home-based assessments for all infants (at baseline, 14 weeks and 6 months)
