This study is a series of co-design workshops aimed at informing the development of digital health technologies that better support people with communication difficulties, particularly in healthcare settings. The workshops will explore participants’ experiences, needs, priorities, and concerns related to communication, pain and stress, data use, and trust in digital and AI-enabled tools. Insights from the workshops will guide the design of future inclusive and accessible digital health technologies.
Participants will take part in one or more facilitated co-design workshops (approximately 2 hours each). Workshops will include group discussions and interactive activities focused on experiences with communication challenges, digital health tools, and emerging technologies such as AI. All activities will be adapted to support accessibility and inclusive communication.
