An update from our CEO – January 2022
Posted on Thu 13 Jan 2022

Dear valued clients, carers, family and representatives,

I wanted to wish you and your family a very happy New Year, but also to take some time to update you around our commitment to your goals and wellbeing.

As you will be aware, the spread of COVID-19 in the general community has increased, and here at CPA we have been working hard to assess the risks to both our clients and our employees.

To this end, we have decided to delay the opening of our centre-based programs for Lifestyles at St Ives, Allambie Heights, Prairiewood and Liverpool, as well as Packforce at Allambie Heights and Wetherill Park. These services will remain closed until Monday 24th January.

Respite houses remain in operation to support clients and families in exceptional circumstances, while Therapy and Health and Wellbeing programs will continue as we monitor the situation. We will regularly assess the situation and work with you to reschedule appointments if at any stage the safety and wellbeing of our clients, carers and employees is at risk.

I am pleased to say that all CPA employees are fully vaccinated and will be utilising masks, hand sanitiser and regular site cleaning to ensure the safest environment possible.

For more information about how we are prioritising the safety and wellbeing of our clients, staff and the wider CPA community, head here.

We ask that clients and families continue their commitment to safety undertaking vaccination and, when possible, booster shots.

I know this is a difficult time for you all, and I trust you and your families have been able to remain well over this holiday period.

I will continue to share with you our plans and keep you abreast of any changes to our services. For all the latest information on all CPA services, vaccinations and other COVID-19 updates, head to the FAQ page on our website or the ACT or NSW Government's information hub.

Please reach out to your local CPA team should you have any concerns or additional questions. We are, as always, at your service.
