CPA Holiday Closures

CPA Holiday Closures
Posted on Fri 18 Dec 2020

We are disappointed to hear of a new outbreak of COVID-19 in pockets of Sydney. As you may know, we had already planned to give our hard working staff a well-earned break and close the majority of our sites and services from Monday 21 December until Monday 18 January 2021.

During this time, some programs were planned to run, with respite and accommodation services continuing. Any changes made to these existing plans will be made based on the latest NSW Health recommendations.

What this means for your services

Programs and services

Planned holiday programs and services from 4 January 2021 onwards currently remain unaffected. If you are registered in one of these programs or services you will be contacted directly if anything changes. Please see the table and PDF below for the latest site specific information.

Youth camps currently planned in Wisemans Ferry and Jindabyne on Monday 18 January also currently remain unaffected. If you are registered for one of these camps, you will be contacted directly if anything changes, no later than Monday 4 January 2021.

Lifestyles clients (Group and Private homes and centres)

At this stage, all services delivered into group and private homes will continue as planned. These are considered an essential service, and all CPA Support Practitioners will follow the advice provided by NSW Health.

Lifestyles centres in St Ives and Greater Western Sydney ( Liverpool and Prairiewood ) will open on 4 January 2021. The Allambie Heights Lifestyle centre will remain closed until 11 January as part of our Covid safe planning. We will continue to monitor the NSW Health advice and advise clients if there are any changes to these reopening dates.

Services delivered into CPA Accommodation homes are planned to recommence from Monday 4 January. We will monitor the NSW Health advice and advise clients if there are any changes to these recommencement dates.

Visiting group homes during the holiday closure period

The COVID-19 situation is continuously evolving, which means our guidance for visiting clients in group homes may change daily. Before planning any visits, please contact the house manager for up-to-date advice.

Friday 23 April is World Book Day, and we’re celebrating some of our favourite stories. From championing inclusivity for people living with disabilities to sharing important perspectives, these books are great ways to encourage conversations about inclusivity and celebrating our differences.
