Improve gross motor skills, strength and fitness in a fun group environment. Develop swimming skills and functional strength such as stair climbing, walking and arm strength.  

A group run by a Exercise Physiologist, our Hydrotherapy Group for primary school age children. This class incorporates a range of activities to improve strength, coordination, swimming, water confidence and movement skills. This fun and interactive water-based therapy group is for children with movement disorder or gross motor delays.

 

Who is this program for?

  • Children aged 5 – 12 years
  • All abilities welcome
  • Able to participate in a stimulating group environment, able to follow instructions and show good receptive language skills.  

 

What does this program include?

  • An opportunity to experience freedom of movement that might not be possible on land
  • Body-weight supported environment that can help develop motor skills
  • Warm and soothing water to ease muscle spasms and pain
  • Water confidence, water safety skills and fitness
