Exciting new funding opportunity for projects involving lived experience in CP!

We are thrilled to announce a new funding initiative designed to assist with the engagement of people with lived experience in cerebral palsy (CP)-related projects. This funding mechanism, called the CP Lived Experience Engagement Fund, known simply as The Fund, allows project leaders to apply for financial support to pay individuals with lived experience to participate in their projects.

What is The Fund?

The Fund is distinct from the Lived Experience Engagement Framework, which is a policy that governs how we engage people with lived experience at CPA. Instead, The Fund is a financial resource open to anyone, regardless of their affiliation with CPA. It is available to project leaders across Australia and New Zealand who wish to incorporate lived experience perspectives into their work.

Who can apply?

This opportunity is open to individuals affiliated with registered organisations, including hospitals, universities, research institutes, service providers, and not-for-profits. We encourage applications from those involved in a wide range of projects, including:

  • Research
  • Advocacy
  • Service Development
  • Knowledge Translation

Whether you have prior experience in engaging people with lived experience or not, your project could be eligible for this funding.

How to learn more

We will be hosting a Q&A session online via Teams to provide more information about The Fund and how to apply. This session is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and understand the application process in detail. Here are the details:

  • Event: Q&A Session about The Fund
  • Platform: Microsoft Teams Webinar
  • Date & Time: Wednesday 26 June, 1:00pm – 1:30pm AEST

The session will be recorded and made available on our ANZ CP Strategy website for those who cannot attend live. You can find all relevant documentation and additional information on our funding opportunity page.

Spread the Word

We need your help to spread the word about this exciting new initiative. Please share this opportunity with your networks and encourage others to register for the Q&A session. The more people who know about The Fund, the greater the impact we can achieve together.

More information

This funding initiative, made possible by a grant from the Research Foundation of Cerebral Palsy Alliance, aims to support the paid engagement of individuals with lived experience right from the earliest stages of project development. We are excited about the potential this fund has to bring valuable insights and perspectives into CP-related projects.

We look forward to seeing your applications and supporting your innovative work!
