Eleven CPA employees receive prestigious leadership opportunity

A group of eleven emerging leaders from across Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s accommodation, Lifestyles and Strategy, Quality & Risk have been awarded McKinsey Rising Leaders scholarships.

The 2023 Rising Leaders program, a partnership between the Australian Scholarship Foundation and global management consultancy McKinsey & Company, is open to talented managers from the non-profit, health, education, social services and arts sectors.

All eleven CPA staff have been invited to take part in October’s McKinsey Rising Leaders Forum, a three-day event focused on building skills in personal leadership and the foundation of leading high-performing teams.

The Rising Leaders recipients are:

  • Emilia Agostino (House Manager)
  • Emma Langley (Data Analytics & Insights Lead)
  • Emma Sinclair-Wadham (House Manager)
  • Jak Brown (Manager Centre Day Programs)
  • Leah Cutler (House Manager)
  • Linda Wilson (House Manager)
  • Owen Mitchell (House Manager)
  • Samantha Bing (Lifestyles Site Manager)
  • Satinder ‘Lally’ Singh (House Manager)
  • Siobhan Lloyd (House Manager/Acting Regional Manager)
  • Thomas James (House Manager)

CPA staff make up 14% of the 79 rising leaders to be inducted into the program in 2023, representing the largest charity in the intake, ahead of World Vision, Cancer Council NSW and Save the Children.

“Receiving this scholarship is an incredible opportunity to expand my leadership skills, increase my knowledge, engage in networks of like-minded people and therefore better enable me to make a more positive and lasting impact on the amazing work of Cerebral Palsy Alliance,” said Sam Bing, who has come through the ranks to now manage St Ives Lifestyles since joining CPA as a support worker in 2017.

Lally, who has been with CPA for over a decade, said he was excited to see how the scholarship would further support clients and families:

“My purpose has always been to provide quality care to my incredible clients with diverse abilities, with an unwavering commitment to providing top-tier services my clients’ well-being…This opportunity fuels my passion to continue delivering exceptional service and creating a meaningful difference in the lives of those I am privileged to work with.”

Congratulations to the entire CPA Rising Leaders cohort!
