Every Tuesday, Chloe looks forward to joining CPA’s Lifestyles Masterclass program. It is a welcoming space where she can explore her creativity, develop practical skills and spend time with friends.
“This program has given me a new opportunity to make friends and build my craft skills,” Chloe says. “It’s a great place to be.”
Masterclass supports participants aged 17 to 28 years to work towards their individual goals – whatever these may be. For Chloe, that means creating resin bookmarks, handmade cards and paintings. She is involved in every stage of the process, from making and finishing her products to packaging orders and preparing them for sale online and at local markets.
These hands-on experiences have helped Chloe build confidence, strengthen her creative and workplace skills, and take pride in what she can achieve. Selling her handmade products has also given her a strong sense of purpose. Just as importantly, Masterclass has helped Chloe form friendships and feel part of a positive, supportive community.
For young people preparing to leave school, Masterclass provides a rewarding post-school option where they can explore their interests, develop confidence and independence, and build practical skills to support their future, including entering the workforce.
For Chloe, it is a place where her creativity shines, her achievements are celebrated and she can continue to grow alongside her friends.
