Can Frame Running training improve your health and fitness?

What is the study and who is running it?

Children and youth
  • Who have been diagnosed with either:
    • cerebral palsy classified in GMFCS levels II-V
    • a stable neurodevelopmental, genetic, or acquired condition causing activity limitation in mobility and balance with functional impact equivalent to CP GMFCS II-V.

  • who can follow the directions of the coach and assessor for the purposes of training safely and completing outcome measurement in the opinion of the Principal Investigator.
What is involved?

All participants will complete a 12-week training program. Run4Health is a randomized controlled waitlist trial. This means half of the participants will complete the training immediately, the other half will complete the training approximately 6 months later.

Training is held two times per week for one hour at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre. Training is currently planned for Saturday mornings (8:30am-9:30am) and Wednesday evening (5:00pm-6:00pm).

Throughout the study, participants will be required to attend 3 or 4 assessments, each approximately 3 months a part. These assessments will measure FrameRunning fitness, running strength and movement.
