Boccia Term 1 Wrap Up

Sydney Singles

The Term 1 Sydney Singles Boccia competition was another thriller. In Semi-final 1, Paul used a 3-point head start and some lucky rebounds to edge past Rachel 5–2. Semi-final 2 saw Ange come from behind to beat Michael 10–7. Rachel claimed 3rd place with a strong finish against Michael, winning 5–1. In the final, Ange started 9 points behind Paul but nearly closed the gap. Paul’s long jack throw in the last end helped him secure a narrow 10–7 win and take 1st place for the term.

Super League

The Term 1 Super League competition featured tight matches and standout performances. In the first semi-final, Ange edged past Matty 4–3 in a close battle, reclaiming the lead in the final end. Liam dominated the second semi-final with a 6–0 win over Terry, though both players showed great skill. Terry bounced back in the third-place play-off, defeating Matty 8–0 to secure 3rd place. The final between Ange and Liam was a thrilling encounter, with all four ends seeing both players matching each other shot for shot. The score continuously shifted back and forth. Liam went long on both his jack ends, setting them at around 7-8 meters. Both players demonstrated their versatility and high skill level, placing several balls just millimetres or centimetres from the jack. In the end, it was Ange who emerged as the Term 1 champion, winning 4-1.
