“These things don’t happen through luck. They happen through drive, passion and dedication… You’ve all changed lives for the better.”
Opening its doors for the first time in August 1983, The Stuart Centre, Croudace Bay is CPA’s longest operating therapy centre and currently supports more than 350 therapy and lifestyles clients.
The iconic site officially celebrated its 40th anniversary this month, and to celebrate, the team held an event with staff and special guests to highlight the incredible impact of CPA in the Hunter.
More than 50 people were in attendance, including CEO Rob White and guest of honour Jill Stuart. Matriarch of CPA in the Hunter, Jill’s campaign for local services for people with CP in the Hunter began in the 1960s when her son Michael was born with cerebral palsy.
Congratulations to all Newcastle employees, volunteers and supporters for making The Stuart Centre at Croudace Bay such a welcoming and innovative place for four decades!
