Performing a collection of much-loved 70s and 80s hits, the group entertained locals for several hours, drawing enthusiastic crowds and plenty of support from the community. By the end of the performance, the Vibez musicians had raised an incredible $1600 through donations from passers-by.
Following the success of the event, the group unanimously decided to invest in pet-assisted therapy for the St Ives Lifestyles centre through PAWS Pet Therapy. As a result, therapy dog Vic (Victoria) now visits the centre every fortnight, bringing joy, calm and meaningful engagement to participants and staff alike.
Vic’s visits have quickly become a highlight at the centre. Her gentle nature and friendly presence create opportunities for connection, relaxation and positive interaction, with many participants eagerly looking forward to her arrival each fortnight. Already, the impact of the program is being felt across the centre, supporting wellbeing and creating moments of happiness for everyone involved.
