Jose is an Exercise Physiologist who is passionate about making exercise accessible, enjoyable, and empowering for people with disability. He works with individuals across a range of physical, intellectual, and neurological disabilities, creating personalised exercise programs that help build confidence, improve physical function, and achieve meaningful goals—whether that’s walking further, keeping up with friends, participating in sport, or becoming more independent in everyday life.
Jose has a particular interest in adapting exercise to meet each person’s unique strengths, interests, and abilities. He enjoys finding creative solutions to overcome barriers to movement and helping people develop long-term healthy habits that support independence, participation, and wellbeing. Taking a collaborative, person-centred approach, Jose works closely with participants, families, support workers, and other health professionals to create positive exercise experiences where progress is celebrated and every achievement counts.

“After experiencing my own injury, I realised exercise isn’t just about fitness—it’s a powerful tool for recovery, confidence, and improving quality of life. That’s what inspired me to help others discover what they’re capable of.”
