NEWCASTLE AND CENTRAL COAST – Activities with our Residents in our group homes

This is a flexible role designed around you, your lifestyle and your ongoing commitments. Make this Volunteer role your own when it comes to ours and days of the week.

Maybe you are a good listener. Perhaps you have a bubbly personality. Or you may simply be someone who wants to spend an hour here or there, a morning, an afternoon, or even just drop in occasionally, knowing that you are making a huge difference to our residents in our group homes.

Often people think that volunteers need to sing, play an instrument, be good at arts and crafts, gardening or other pastimes. Of course, some of our volunteers do share their hobbies. But most volunteers just give us a little of their time to read a book to a resident, take part in an activity, mend clothing, folding washing or just have a chat. It’s entirely up to you and we welcome your help. Most importantly talking to our residents reducing isolation and improving their quality of life.
