Conductive Education (CE) is an educational based learning program which provides a holistic approach to the development of children with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities.

Your child will find a nurturing, safe and secure environment to learn.

CE programs offer a range of activities so your child will experience success in day-to-day skills:

  • Explore their environment
  • Self-mobilise
  • Communicate
  • Using their hands
  • Develop preschool concepts
  • Toilet training
  • Self-care skills
  • Taking care of their belongings.

The program offers age-appropriate and motivating activities, to help children learn to be active participant and responsible learners - striving for independence.

It also provides opportunities for parents to meet other families of children with similar needs.

How does it work?

Your child’s abilities and needs are assessed by our qualified Conductive Educators; then your child will be offered a session or a class according to their age and abilities. Sessions or classes are available for children up to 12 years of age.
The daily schedule and routine is an important part of the program, which allows children to learn in all areas of their development. In the preschool classes, the children’s consistent, active involvement will help to prepare them for school.
School age classes continue to build independence as the child grows and work on life skills to prepare them for the future. During the sessions, children learn to practice skills and concepts at home and at school.

This service falls under the NDIS categories listed above as well as pay as you go, for a term.
