What are Acute Respiratory Infections?
Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) encompass a range of infections caused by respiratory viruses, including COVID-19, influenza, and RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) and are defined by a recent onset of new or worsening cough, runny nose, breathing difficulty, and/or sore throat with or without other symptoms.Â

Yes, however we would ask that to protect and safeguard clients and their families, and CPA staff clients and visitors should not attend Therapy, Packforce, or Lifestyles community centres when experiencing COVID, influenza or recent onset of any other respiratory symptoms. If arriving on these sites’ clients and visitors who are unwell, will be asked to return home. 
Yes, we have had great success with the uptake and delivery of services via CPA Telepractice. We continue to hear from families and clients about how valuable the service has been, allowing them to keep achieving goals and positive outcomes. As part of our commitment to best practice and support for all clients and families, we will continue to deliver beneficial services via CPA Telepractice.Â
NSW and ACT Health advises for the best protection against severe illness it is important to be up to date for all vaccinations including COVID-19 and influenza. CPA strongly encourages clients and visitors to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and to receive their booster when it is due.  Â
Yes, CPA staff, volunteers, and students are vaccinated against COVID-19, and we offer staff annual influenza vaccinations.Â
As always, our priority is the health, safety, and wellbeing of all our clients and their families. As such, we continue to follow any guidance from NSW and ACT Health.  Â
