ORANGE – Therapy volunteer support

CPA gladly accepts volunteers to help out in our lovely clinic. Gain invaluable experience in our paediatric setting while also learning more about occupational, speech and physical therapies. Use your time at CPA to gain experience in the therapeutic world, maximise learning opportunities from some of the best paediatric practitioners around, and add invaluable experience to your resume.

In exchange for your commitment, CPA therapists are happy to offer you advice, mentorship, and if you wish, a letter of volunteer support in exchange for your dedication and assistance.

Are you an Physio, OT or Speech students looking to gain volunteer skills working alongside our amazing therapy team.

How can I help as a Therapy Volunteer?

Work alongside therapists to facilitate therapy groups that help children and adults with disability develop their skills and achieve their goals.

When applying for a volunteer position, we may ask you for the following information:

  • Personal information – including emergency contacts and any relevant medical history
  • National Police Certificate –  we can apply for a Volunteer National Police Certificate on your behalf at no cost to you
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check – this is a new requirement to safeguard people with disability. We can help you apply and cover the cost.
  • Working with Children Check – this is required to work with children. If you do not have a Working with Children Check, we can help you apply and cover the cost
  • References – 2 people that you have worked with in the past
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate – as per the WA State Government mandate, full COVID-19 immunisation is required to work in an allied health facility
