Matthew

Process Worker, Packforce

Since joining the team, I’ve been supported and encouraged by my manager and colleagues to learn new things.

For the last two years I have worked at Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s (CPA) Australian Disability Enterprise – Packforce. Since joining the team, I’ve been supported and encouraged by my manager and colleagues to learn new things.

My Employment Development Officer and the support team listen to what I want to achieve, assist me in setting goals and work with me to act on them. The team are great at helping me to set achievable tasks that assist me to reach my overall goals.

Something I’d always wanted to do was to learn how to use a pallet jack. I thought that was going to be too difficult as I have a visual impairment – but the team supported me to succeed. Being able to use the pallet jack makes me feel like I can really contribute at work. It also makes me feel valued as an employee.

At Cerebral Palsy Alliance I have the opportunity to learn and grow.
