KINGSWOOD – Frame Running Group

Assist with our Frame Running group on Monday’s for Term 1, 2024. A program for clients to come and try the exciting sport of Frame Running.

Our Therapy team will be running a Frame Running (race running) group on Monday’s for Term 1, 2024 for those clients who want to improve individual frame running skills and improve physical activity in a group context.

Frame Running (Race Running) is an innovative sport for people of all ages with a disability who have impaired balance and are unable to functionally run.

Participants have an opportunity to try Frame Running and improve their individual frame running skills. Frame Running provides each individual the freedom to move and run in a supported and balanced way without a walker, wheelchair or similar device.

DATES: Monday’s 29th January 2024 – 7th April 2024

SESSION TIMES: 15:30 – 17:30

LOCATION: Cerebral Palsy Alliance – Kingswood – Bldg G University of Western Sydney, Second Ave, Kingswood

 

VOLUNTEER ROLE

  • Our therapy team needs volunteers to help with all aspects of the Frame Running program
  • Tasks include setting up and packing down equipment, help to set activities, and of course supporting our clients
  • No experienced required

As a Come & Try Frame Running volunteer, you’ll be helping our Therapy team to deliver a fun and engaging program that enables participants to:

  • Build strength and core stability
  • Improve mobility
  • Preparation for racing and competing for advanced participants
  • Have fun and experience the sensation of running, walking
  • Improves fitness
  • practice taking instructions and applying their new skills in a group environment
  • meet new friends
