ALLAMBIE – Marketing & Communications

Cerebral Palsy Alliance's (CPA)  Marketing and Communications team are responsible for developing strategy, collateral and content to support the organisation's strategic and business goals.

The team are looking for a volunteer who can assist them to create and implement a range of assets to promote the work of CPA via its print, online and digital platforms.

 

VOLUNTEER ROLE

This role is ideal for a Marketing and Communications student or graduate who is keen to learn and/or improve their marketing and content creation skills.

Below is a list of skills that showcase the type of projects you could potentially be working on whilst volunteering with our MarComms team.

Please note: not all the skills listed are required as our team are happy to assist you to develop your skills in the areas that are of interest to you.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience with WordPress and Campaign Monitor
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Copywriting (for social, website, marketing)
  • Design and content creation using Canva
  • Experience with Social media 
  • Video production – editing and transcribing
  • Photography

 

VOLUNTEER ROLE

  • Ideally you will be available one day each week to support our Marketing and Communications team
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to curate/create content to support their marketing needs 
  • Learn and practice new skills that can help prepare you for your first professional role
  • The role is based at our Allambie Heights site on Sydney's northern beaches - 187 Allambie Road, Allambie Heights 

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 6 month commitment preferred
  • Willingness to undertake Working with Children and Police Checks
  • Complete an NDIS online training module (prior to starting your role)
  • Attend a Volunteer Induction session prior to your start date 
  • Comply with CPA’s COVID-19 safe working guidelines.
