Exercising can be so much fun, motivating and even social when you're amongst a group of mates and peers.
However, with few accessible community gyms, people with a disability can often find it difficult to enjoy the benefits of a regular exercise program.
Each Saturday our Allambie gym featuring modified equipment and supervised by staff experienced in disability, runs three back-to-back programs for adults with mixed abilities.
Run by an experienced Exercise Physiologist and Allied Health Assistant, our clients are gently put through their paces; performing exercises specifically selected to suit their abilities and personal goals.
With each group comprising approx. 3-5 participants, these programs provide our clients with a unique opportunity to get fit and connect with friends.
