Dear CPA clients, families and representatives,

A huge reduction in the number of new COVID-19 cases is a promising step in the right direction. However, I want to assure you that even though these latest reports are encouraging, here at CPA we’re far from relaxed and continue to take this pandemic seriously.

We’re pleased to report that no CPA clients have contracted the virus to date. This is something we are extremely proud of and is a track record we will work well in to the future to preserve.

Face masks are now part of everyday life

COVID-19 hotspots are changing daily and this is something we are keeping on top of. All frontline workers providing services directly to clients living or working in hotspots as advised by NSW Health are required to wear marks when delivering services.

We are also encouraging all staff and clients to wear masks when in higher risk settings such as home visits, shopping centres, cafes, restaurants, churches and gyms, if physically able to.

Keeping our Community Centres safe

Health and safety precautions remain in place at all CPA community centres. As long as COVID-19 remains a threat, we will continually review and implement additional measures as needed. For now, these include:

· Screening and temperature checking for all staff and visitors on site at entry

· Sign in procedures for all staff and visitors

· Changes to rooms and the layout of furniture to ensure everyone can safely follow physical distancing requirements

· Extra personal hygiene and cleaning responsibilities for all staff and visitors to follow

· Strict adherence to a maximum number of people allowed to be on the site at any one time – this will be on display at the front door of every site

· Single points of entry for staff and visitors for every site

Keeping our Group Homes safe
Temporary 14 day restrictions remain in place for all visitors who live in COVID-19 hotspots while visiting our group homes.

For all other visitors, ongoing precautions apply including:

· Screening at check in

· Temperature checking

· Recording of contact details

· Mandatory hand hygiene

· No lingering outside of designated visiting areas

Thank you for your support

The safety and wellbeing of our clients and staff remains our top priority. Thank you for your support as we work together to keep CPA safe and COVID-19 free.
