Eliza Sawyer
Position: Occupational Therapist

Eliza joined Cerebral Palsy Alliance in 2018. Eliza received the Cerebral Palsy Alliance and Western Sydney University Scholarship during her final year of studies which sparked her passion for working for the organisation. She holds both a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy qualification from Western Sydney University.

Eliza has worked with individuals from babies through to adults. She is especially interested in paediatrics and early intervention. As well as cerebral palsy, Eliza also has experience with autism spectrum disorder, acquired brain injury, global developmental delay, arthrogryposis and rare syndromes. Since graduating Eliza has furthered her skills in bimanual therapy, constraint therapy, play assessment and intervention, school readiness, equipment prescription, assistive technology and cognitive based skill development.

Eliza enjoys working with a play-based mode of therapy with her young clients. She enjoys discovering each individual’s strengths and interests to encourage participation and inclusion in activities of daily living.
