The must-do holiday camp for teens aged 13-17

If your teenager would benefit from getting out and about, CPA Camps are the perfect school holiday program.

This social and independent living skills program is designed for young people aged 13-17 years seeking fun, adventure with the opportunity to experience independence away from home.

The program provides teens with the opportunity to develop social skills and friendships, try new activities aimed at increasing confidence, develop resilience, and make choices about their own lives, all in a fun setting.

CPA Youth Coaches work with each person to guide them towards their individual program goals while making friends and amazing memories. 


What does this program involve?

  • Three nights, four days away from home in Wisemans Ferry
  • Purposeful activities that build independence and social skills including:
    • Team building games
    • Sports activities
    • Bushwalks, kayaking, fishing
    • Pedal cars and putt putt golf
    • Australian Reptile Park
    • Using the natural environment and being resourceful
    • Meal planning and preparation
    • Learning about taking safe risks and water safety
    • Socialising with fellow campers

During this camp, young people can complete their Adventurous Journey for the Duke of Edenborough award!


What are the expected outcomes?

The program teaches teenagers how to:

  • Understand self and recognise different perspectives
  • Build social communication skills
  • Respond to challenges and participate in new activities
  • Become responsible for making choices and solving problems
  • Plan and implement tasks and make decisions
  • Emotional Independence and increased resilience from time away from home


Who is this program for?

  • Young people aged 13 -17 years seeking social independence, new skills and adventure
  • All disabilities are welcome 
  • Participants must be able to understand and follow instructions and communicate their needs
  • CPA welcomes both new and existing customers to attend any of our programs
