Want the freedom to make financial choices in your life?

Knowing how to manage your money can help you build confidence and pursue your independence. In partnership with Allianz and Flinders University, CPA has developed a brand new evidence-based financial management program – the first of its kind in Australia.

The Life Lab – Money program is designed to help young adults aged 16-30 years living with a disability improve their money management skills, by building financial literacy capability and confidence. The program focuses on real time skills development through 1:1 coaching with individuals, as well as group based learning and financial exploration.

It’s practical, fun and even includes an exciting trip travelling around the city to practise the skills learnt!

What does this program involve?

  • Join CPA Youth coaches and Allianz employees in an evidenced-based 10-week program backed by Flinders University
  • An interactive workshop designed to make learning about money fun and engaging
  • Purposeful activities that develop independent money management skills
    • Managing money, budgeting and saving
    • Learning the difference between a need and a want
    • Internet safety
    • Understanding financial supports
    • Using different payment methods
  • This intensive program provides comprehensive support from one-to-one sessions with a mentor, group sessions, and working alongside Allianz volunteers
