The safety and wellbeing of CPA clients is at the centre of our practice. In line with direction from the Australian Government around COVID-19, this program is temporarily postponed until the risk of infection is reduced.

Develop social and practical skills through fun and enjoyable activities based around the topic of gaming

Explore paths for gaming, and learn more about cosplaying, virtual reality, personal safety and control of information during this 10-week program.

 

What does this program involve?

  • Term-based 2-hour program running every week 
  • Different activity each week around the domain of gaming:
    • Career paths for gaming – setting up a career timeline
    • Adaptive equipment specifically in regards to people with a disability
    • Imagination, the positive uses of gaming and sportsmanship
    • Cosplaying – comicon discussion
    • Designing your own game – budgeting – money skills
    • Virtual reality – the future of gaming & applications especially in disability
    • Personal safety and control of information
    • Mental health – how to use gaming positively and understanding addiction around it

 

Who is this program for?

  • Young people aged 18-30 years
  • All abilities (clients requiring 1:1 personal care or mealtime assistance may incur an extra charge)
