Research Governance & Ethics

Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) promotes excellence and integrity in research, with a strong focus on accountability, responsibility, honesty and transparency.
Research at CPA is supported by a governance structure comprising the Board of Directors and its sub-committee; the Research Committee.

The Committee’s role is to:

  • Ensure that research undertaken and supported by CPA is a good fit with our overall research priorities and mission;
  • Assess whether CPA has suitable resources, facilities and risk management strategies in place to support specific research proposals;
  • Ensure that research projects comply with appropriate ethical, scientific, regulatory and professional standards.
 

All research studies supported and/or advertised by CPA require authorisation by the Research Committee, prior to commencement. Here are the steps to follow:
