Improving pain related self-report options for children with complex communication needs

Be a voice to help create better ways for kids with cerebral palsy to tell us when they are in pain. This study focuses on asking young people with and without cerebral palsy and complex communication needs about their pain reporting experiences and co-create the vocabulary and images that they recommend to be incorporated in future AAC devices.

Who can participate?

We are seeking young people between 10-16 years of age who

• Have cerebral palsy and complex communication needs OR
• Have cerebral palsy and do not have complex communication needs

This study has been approved by the University of South Australia Human Research Ethics Committee, Protocol number: 204997.
