The Access Orthotics team will provide a wide range of services at the Prairiewood clinic, including:
Whether you require a new orthosis, a review of an existing device, or support navigating NDIS processes, the team is here to help.
For many families, getting an orthosis has traditionally meant plaster casting, long appointments and trying to keep still while the cast sets. Today, technology has transformed that experience.
Access Orthotics uses advanced 3D scanning technology to create a precise digital model of the body. The scanner captures multiple images from different angles and combines them into an accurate 3D representation. This 3D image is then modeled and aligned by skilled Orthotic Clinicians.
There’s:
The result is a more comfortable appointment and a more precise outcome.
Because the cast is digital, it becomes part of an ongoing clinical record. Over time, clinicians can compare scans to track changes in growth, alignment and muscle tone.
This means:
Rather than relying on trial and error, orthoses are designed millimetre-by-millimetre for each individual.
3D scanning has been used in Australia for over 15 years, and Access Orthotics clinicians have more than a decade of experience using this technology to deliver personalised, measurable care.
Access Orthotics clinicians will be onsite at CPA Prairiewood on a fortnightly basis, working collaboratively with CPA therapists to support the best possible outcomes.
Upcoming clinic dates:
Appointments run from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
